Creating an event
Run and choose "Create new event". Aleeva walks you through the questions it needs, shows you a preview, and lets you change any option before the event is posted.
Every option starts from your server's event settings, so a well-configured server usually means answering a handful of questions and posting.
The guided questions
- Category. The kind of event: raid, WvW raid, guild mission, fractal, strike, HP run, roleplay, PvP, meta event, story, world boss, dungeon, festival, bounty, stream, exploration, gathering, achievement, dragon response mission, or a plain event. Around Christmas, Secret Santa is also available: when that event starts, Aleeva assigns every participant someone else and sends them their Discord name and Guild Wars 2 account name.
- Title. The name of the event.
- Time. When the event starts. See time input below.
- End time. When it ends. Durations are added to the start time.
- Description. Free text, emoji included. You can skip it.
- Signup mode. How members join. See signup modes.
- Roles. Whether the event uses defined roles, and which role set to use. With roles active you can also allow flex roles.
- Max subscribers. A limit, or skip for unlimited.
- Reserve list. Offered when the event has a subscriber limit below 30 and does not use the Quick mode.
- Leader. Who runs the event. Aleeva preselects you and you can change it later.
- DPS report integration. Whether Aleeva links every DPS report the leader uploads during the event.
Time input
Both the start and the end time accept the same patterns:
1h,30m,1h 30m,1d: relative to now, or for the end time, relative to the event startHH:mm: an exact time. If that time has already passed today, Aleeva uses tomorrow.- A full date and time in the format set in your
@time: use Discord's time picker and paste the generated result
The preview shows the time already converted to the server's timezone.
Changing options in the preview
The preview has a "Change something" button that opens the full option list. Everything you were asked during the guided flow is in there, plus the options Aleeva did not ask about because your defaults already cover them.

- Allow only members with token. Only members with a Guild Wars 2 API key stored in Aleeva can sign up.
- Only allow members with certain roles. Restricts signups to the Discord roles you pick, or leave it open to everyone.
- Restrict roles to reserve only. Members with the roles you pick can only join the reserve list.

Posting the event
From the preview you either post the event, or post it and go straight into the signup yourself. Cancelling discards everything you entered.
Some options are only offered while creating an event. Signup mode, role set, subscriber limit, the reserve list, the event channel and pinning are fixed once the event exists; the rest you can still change from the manage menu afterwards.
