Role sets
A role set is a reusable collection of roles that defines the roles and slots for an event, for example a raid composition or a strike squad. Instead of building the roles every time, you pick a role set when you create an event.
What a role set contains
A role set has a title, an icon, an optional description and a maximum number of players. It holds a list of roles, and each role has:
- a name and an icon,
- an optional description,
- a number of slots (how many members can take the role),
- a display order.
Icons can come from the Aleeva Icon Set.

Where role sets come from
When you pick a role set you can choose from:
- Own role sets. Sets you created on this server.
- Linked role sets. Sets shared with your server from another server.
- Default role sets. Built-in sets that Aleeva provides.
Managing role sets
Open Manage role sets from the menu. You can create a new set, edit an existing one, or delete one. When creating a set you can start from an existing set (which copies its roles) or from an empty set, then add roles with their icon, slots, description and order.
How role sets tie into signup
When you create a Simple, Extended or Quick event, you choose a role set and Aleeva copies its roles into the event; the set's maximum players becomes the event's subscriber limit. Managed Squad events use a predefined role set automatically.
