Settings
The event settings define how Aleeva handles events on your server and what every new event starts with. Open and choose "Settings". The entry is only shown to members with the Aleeva Events Admin permission.
Most entries are defaults: they decide what a new event is preset with, and an event leader can still change them for a single event while creating it.
Event defaults
- Only allow members with token. Restricts signups to members who have a Guild Wars 2 API key stored with Aleeva.
- Restrict defined role to reserve only. Turns on the reserve-only role restriction for new events, so members with certain Discord roles can only join the reserve list.
- Auto complete events. Aleeva completes an event by itself once it has finished, instead of asking the leader.
- Semi manual auto complete. With auto complete active, the leader still has to confirm the completion, but nothing else.
- Creator as leader. The member who creates an event becomes its leader.
- Default DPS report channel. Where the DPS report summary is posted when an event completes.
- Default signup location. Where a member goes through the signup: in direct messages with Aleeva, or inline in the event channel. You set this separately for normal events and for events that have their own channel.
- Create Discord Event. Whether Aleeva creates and keeps a native Discord scheduled event in sync with new events.
Own channel defaults
These apply to events that get their own channel.
- Default channel name. The naming pattern for the event's own channel. Uses the same placeholders as the dedicated channel names, and defaults to
{status}┇{date:dd.MM.yyyy}┇{time:HH:mm}. - Default event channel. The channel new events are posted in when they do not use their own channel.
- Events use own channel. Whether new events get their own channel instead of being posted into a shared one.
- Default event category. The category the event channels are created under.
- Sync channel with category. Either sync the event channel's permissions to its parent category, or let Aleeva use its own permission system.
- Create thread in event channel. Aleeva opens a thread on the event, named after the event.
- Pin events. Aleeva pins the event message.
Dedicated channel settings
The full configuration for the per-event text and voice channels is on the dedicated channels page. From the settings menu you set the server-wide defaults:
- Dedicated text channel. Whether it is created, its name, category, access, creation time and whether it is deleted on completion.
- Dedicated voice channel. The same options, plus waiting for the last member to leave before deleting it.
- Allow event admins access. Grants members with an event administrator role access to every dedicated channel.
- Show dedicated channel on the event message. Includes the channels in the event message.
- Send audit notifications to the dedicated channel. Posts event audit notifications into the dedicated text channel.
- Timezone. The timezone Aleeva uses for the date and time placeholders in channel names.
Additional event settings
"Open additional event settings" leads to a second menu with the server-wide behaviour that is not a per-event default:
- Event completion conversation priority. Starts the completion conversation as a priority one, which terminates any conversation the leader currently has running.
- Mention members in events. Tags subscribers in the event message instead of showing their Discord name. This does not ping them.
- Notification for subscribers before events. Whether subscribers get a "starts soon" message by default.
- Allow leaders to use categories. Lets event leaders pick a category in the channel selection.
- Clear leaving members from upcoming events. Removes members from the events they signed up for when they leave the server.
Copying defaults to completed events
"Copy default settings to already completed event" writes the current defaults onto every completed event, overriding the settings those events were created with. If you only want to copy some of them, ask on the support server.
Premium
